As the world eagerly counts down to the start of the Tour de France—the ultimate test of endurance, strength, and technology—our colleague Erwin Strik is on a race of his own, navigating the challenges of a different kind of "Tour de France."
Currently tackling the fourth and final stage, Erwin is on a mission to connect 11 vessels and their crews with Onboard’s cutting-edge Maritime IoT Platform in just 12 days. It's a formidable challenge that pushes both man and machine to their limits!
Erwin's journey began a week ago Monday in Rotterdam, and since then, he has navigated through the ports of Dunkerque, Le Havre, and Sainte Nazaire. This Friday, he hopes to reach his finish line in the port city of Marseille.
Reflecting on his journey, Erwin said, "Long but doable with the right equipment and great teamwork along the route with our client Boluda France." It’s been a demanding, yet rewarding voyage, with each stop bringing him closer to his goal of ensuring these vessels are fully integrated into our platform—helping crews harness the power of real-time data and innovative technology.
Let’s cheer Erwin on as he races toward the finish line this week! 🚴♂️🌊
