About you

Are you a dynamic professional skilled professional who is proficient in handling both the front-end and back-end, seeking to create impactful solutions in a fast-paced environment? Onboard is looking for someone like you – a creative problem-solver ready to take ownership of projects.

Your role and responsibilities:

• Design and implement user-friendly UIs.
• Connect frontend and backend services using GraphQL API.
• Develop the backend, primarily in Java with Spring Boot.
• Manage and extend our fleet of ships, playing a key role in operations.
• Ensure smooth running of microservices in Kubernetes clusters on AWS.

Your skills:

• Bachelor’s degree (BSc) or higher in a relevant field.
• Strong command of English or Dutch.
• Proficiency in web development with experience in HTML, CSS, JavaScript/Typescript and front-end framework Angular.
• Familiarity with SQL databases, GraphQL, microservices, AWS, Kubernetes, Terraform, and knowledge networking and event sourcing is a plus.
• A hands-on, proactive approach with a strong focus on quality with the ability to quickly adapt to changes and deliver value in an Agile manner.
• Enjoyment of working in a fast-growing startup environment with both opportunities and uncertainties.
• Independence and a desire for a high degree of autonomy and responsibility in your job.
